Easter Bonnets Parades in schools as with other 'home projects' can either be a chance for some Mummies to shine as domestic goddess or post a lot of stress to messy Mummies like me, who just want to have things done quickly without looking too pathetic. I had horribly experiences from not knowing an Easter Bonnet was needed until receiving a '"homework note" from school given only 3 days notice to prepare, by which time all decorations from major supermarkets were sold out, to making a very basic "innocent mother and daughter bonding fun" which ended up with an almost teary, pathetic expression from my daughter in school, after seeing the brilliant works of others.
